For the purposes of this Privacy Policy personal information may mean some or all of the following: your name, contact details, date of birth, emergency contact details, bank account and/or credit card details, student identification details, employment details, payment history and other information.

Personal Information

The only personal information collected is what is provided by you. We collect personal information from you to provide you with our goods and/or services, to administer your membership or for you to participate in activities with us. If you do not allow us to collect your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our goods and/or services, administer your membership with us or conduct some or all of the activities and services available to you.

With your consent, we may also collect personal information which relates to your physical health or condition, including (without limitation) when you complete your pre-exercise questionnaire, so that we can assess your general health, wellbeing and your readiness for physical exercise. If you do not provide this information, you may not be able to participate in activities.

Use of Information

Personal information will only ever be used for providing services to you. Such information will not be used or disclosed for any other purposes without consent, except in exceptional cases when disclosure may be required by law or is necessary to protect the rights or property of The Body Factory, or a member of the public, or to lessen a serious threat to a person’s health or safety. Personal Information will be used primarily for these purposes:

1. To fulfil obligations under your membership agreement and/or any other contract/agreement between you and The Body Factory Gym
2. To provide services such as group fitness, personal training, food, and others as provided by The Body Factory Gym
3. To provide information about products, services and/or special offers to members
4. Administering direct debit and payments systems
5. To record statistical and usage data for marketing analysis and marketing activity

The Body Factory Gym uses tracking technologies such as cookies to make use of the website and services as convenient as possible. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies or web beacons. These do not themselves personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s browser. These tracking technologies allow us to monitor our website, and to record how many people are using the different parts of the site. It is possible to set the browser to refuse tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons, however, this may limit the services provided by The Body Factory Gym website.

Managing Your Personal Information

You are responsible for advising The Body Factory Gym of changes to your personal information. A request may be made to delete personal and/or sensitive information, and all reasonable steps to delete the information will be made, except where it is required for legal reasons. Deletion of information may result in The Body Factory Gym being unable to sell products directly and/or provide certain services including after sales services to you.

Social Media

Social media posts form part of the day-today activities of The Body Factory Gym. Your image may appear in social media posts, hereby consent The Body Factory Gym using any film or photographic images of you taken during a training session for promotional and/or advertising purposes.
